The glory and elegance of the fourth caliph, the dominator of all saints, Abul Hassan Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali-ul-Murtaza  کرّم اللہ تعالٰی وجہہ الکریم  is very high. His bounties and excellences are countless. He got an honor to marry with the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet  صلی اللہ علیہ واٰلہ وسلم  , Hazrat Fatima  رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہا  . He is one of those who were given the good news of entering the Jannah. The love of Holy Prophet  صلی اللہ علیہ واٰلہ وسلم  for him was inimitable. His name is “Ali” and his father’s name is Abu Taalib and his mother name is Fatima bint e Asad. The kunyah of 'Ali was Abu al-Hasan, after his oldest son al-Hasan, who was one of the children of his wife Fatima  رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہا  , the daughter of the beloved Rasool of Allah  عزّوجلّ  . He was also known by Abu Turaab, which was given to him by the Prophet  صلی اللہ علیہ واٰلہ وسلم  and He  رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ  was always happy to be addressed by it. There is no doubt in the fact that the Noble Messenger of Allah  عزوجل , the  Prophet of Rahmah , the intercessor of Ummah, Sayyiduna Muhammad  صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم  holds a distinct rank in the court of Almighty Allah  عزوجل . Almighty Allah  عزوجل   has chosen him as the last Messenger, granted him supremacy over all the other Prophets, praised him in His divine words i.e. the Holy Quran, described his magnificence, majesty and brilliance in the  Glorious Quran  and declared his  blessed personality , character and life a shining example for all mankind to follow. Almighty Allah  عزوجل  himself describes his eminence in the Holy Quran in the following words: هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا ۖ سِيمَاهُ

Dear Islamic brothers!  The beloved prophet Muhammad  صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ  is the  last messenger of Allah   عَزَّ وَجَلَّ . Although there is no prophet after him  صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ   but the legacy of Prophethood which is knowledge and guidance still exists in the form of two honorable groups of Muslims i.e. Ulama (the religious scholars) and Aulia (The  friends of Allah  or saints). Both these groups are like two eyes- equally important- and we need both of them at the same time. In this blog we will learn about the Aulia (The friends of Allah) and their excellence and supremacy in the light of Quran and Hadith .
