Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ

Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ
History of Islam is full of the great people and especially every companion of the beloved Rasool is a shining star. One of them was Hazrat e Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہin this piece of writing we will learn about his blessed life and his status. Hazrat Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ was born in Makkah in the sixth year after the year of elephants. He رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ accepted Islam in the early days of Islam with the preaching of Abu Bakar Siddique رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ. He رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ migrated from Makkah two times, once towards Habsha and once towards Madina. He was third caliph of Islam, having the titles of Zulnoorain, Jami ul Quran, sahib ul hijratain and also had great fear of Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ in his heart.
Describing the status of Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ, the beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَsaid:
· “Usman is from me and I am from Usman.”
· “Every Prophet has a companion and my companion in jannah is Usman bin Affan.”
· “By the intercession of Usman, 70000 hell binding people will enter jannah without accountability.”
The Holy Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ married him with his middle daughter, Hazrat Ruqqaiah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَا before the declaration of his Prophethood. Hazrat Ruqqaiah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَا died during the battle of Badar. Hazrat Usman Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ did not participate in the battle of Badar and rested in Madina to take care of her on the order of Holy Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ. The day when the good news of Muslim conquest was reached to Madina people were busy in the burial of Hazrat Ruqqiahرَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَا. After the death of Hazrat Ruqqaiah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَا, her sister Umme Kalsoomرَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَا was also married with Hazrat Usman رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ and she was also died in Madina.
The Islamic scholars told that nobody got married with two daughters of Prophet except Usman رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ so that he was given the title of Zulnoorain i.e. possessor of two noors. He رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ is among those people who accepted Islam in very early age, did migration and enlisted in the top ten companions of Rasool of Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ. Heرَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ is among those people with whom the beloved Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ remained happy for his entire life. He رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ collected the Holy Quran.
Hazrat Sayyiduna Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ was graceful man with awe inspiring personality. The height of Hazrat Usman رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہwas medium, he had lovely and handsome face, his complexion was pinkish white glowing, he رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ had spots of chicken pox on his face and his beard was broad. His shoulders were broad, legs were filled and hands were long with hair on them. The hair of his head was thick and he رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ used red color to die his hair. His teeth were shining and beautiful. Hazrat Usman رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ was very beautiful and resembled with Holy Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ and Hazrat Ibrahim عَلَیْہِ السَّلَام. Having such a handsome personality he رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہwas a man of modesty and shyness.
Hazrat Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ was most shy among the people as Holy prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ discussed his shyness and modesty in these words:
“Modesty is from Iman and the most genuinely modest one from my Ummah is ‘Usman”.
Hazrat Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ was a soft natured and kind hearted person. He was very rich person but his living was very simple. He was famous for his generosity. He was incredible in following Sunnah.
After a period of twelve years of caliphate, Hazrat Usman e Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ was killed in the way of Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ in the month of Zulhajj in 35 hijri. May Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ bless him and enable us to follow him. May Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ privilege us to become a true example of courtesy and excellence of manners by following the footsteps of the blessed companions!
